Bio

Aaron Smith is the author of Blue on Blue Ground (Pittsburgh, 2005), winner of the 2004 Agnes Lynch Starret Prize and a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. His chapbooks include: What’s Required (Thorngate Road, 2003), winner of the 2003 Frank O’Hara Award and Men in Groups (Winged City, 2011). The University of Pittsburgh Press will publish his new book, Appetite, in September of 2012. His work has appeared in various journals including: Barrow Street, Columbia Poetry Review, Court Green, Ecotone, 5 AM, Guernica, Pleiades, Ploughshares, Prairie Schooner, and Witness. A 2007 Fellow in Poetry from the New York Foundation for the Arts, he’s the poetry editor for Bloom. Right now he lives in the middle of nowhere.
